Wukro is one of the 36 woredas in the Tigray Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Misraqawi Zone, Wukro is bordered on the south by the Dabubawi (Sothern) Zone, on the west by the Mehakelegnaw (Central) Zone, on the north by Hawzen, and on the east by Atsbi Wenberta .
Based on figures published by the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, this woreda has an estimated total population of 121,260, of whom 62,043 were males and 59,217 were females. With an estimated area of 987.83 square kilometers, Wukro has an estimated population density of 122.8 people per square kilometer, which is less than the Zone average of 141.59.

Wukro is a town in northern Ethiopia. Located in the Misraqawi (Eastern) Zone of the Tigray Region on on the Asmara-Addis Ababahighway, it has a longitude and latitude of 12 °8'N, 39 °36'E with an elevation of 1972 meters above sea level.
